A moment of contemplation at the sheer elegance of this Bentley. A friend of mine brought his new Bentley to show me. And whilst no one likes a show off, I have to say he’s got something pretty special.
It’s a version of the Bentley Continental GT W12 with increased engine power (now a whopping 616 horsepower with 590 lb-ft of torque). The ride height is lowered and chassis and suspension uprated. The top speed is a cool 205 mph (that’s 330 kilometres per hour Euro fans) and it takes a mere 4.000 seconds to accelerate from 0-60mph.
It’s not just the flawless looks and the spectacular performance though. It’s the details that make it special. This Bentley has two batteries. I guess they realized that there are some cars that are only brought out for ‘best’ and that there’s nothing worse than a flat battery from prolonged standing. So there’s a second battery just to make sure that the car is always ready to roll.
Nothing quite like a car where they’ve thought of everything.
